Friends of Connor Downs Academy

Description We want to deliver coding sessions for under-represented and underprivileged children that take their understanding forwards in this ever important area. 42% of our pupils live in the most deprived 10-20% of Lower Super Output Areas in England compared to 10% on average nationally. We want these children to be able to successfully navigate the world of coding and open up their eyes to the way technology can change their world and improve areas for people. Many of our children are unable to access such facilities at home and we feel duty-bound to provide relevant opportunities through an exciting Computing curriculum. These resources would be able to be used across our school in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and not just in the classroom we have planned these sessions for.
