Description
Children will use Micro:bits to create simple environmental sensors and weather trackers. Guided by Michael, they'll code devices that respond to light, temperature, or movement—exploring how tech can help us understand the world around us. Creative tasks might include coding a “sunshine detector” or designing a digital pollinator counter. Goals:
Introduce environmental STEM themes
Explore sensors and data collection
Empower students to imagine tech for sustainability
Target Group: KS2 students, with inclusive access for underserved communities.
Our school has an arms unit with children with EHCPs for their disabilities and all of these children will be involved in the workshop.
